Abhishek Shukla
Abhishek Shukla, a name that has, over the last 10-15 years, become taller than the man himself. His love for Urdu and appreciation for the eloquence that it renders to a thought has helped him carve a special place for himself in the literary community; a space that his uniquely his own. His poetry is an outpouring of all that he absorbs in terms of life and language. A favourite among critics and role-model to upcoming writers, Abhishek is lauded for his keen eye for nuance and prosody. A natural at wordplay, he is gifted with satire, so much so that he debuted with a much-appreciated cameo on a popular standup comedy act, recently. A true-blue Lucknowi at heart, he carries the rich Awadhi heritage in his words and persona. His debut poetry collection “Harf-e-Awara” was published in 2020 by Rajkamal Prakashan, which went on to become a popular choice amongst readers. The Urdu translation of “Harf-e-Awara” is set to be published soon in India and Pakistan, followed by a collection on satire.
साहहत्यिक समालोचकोिं के हप्रय और उभरते लेखकोिं के हलए एक आदशू के रप में, अहभषेक को भाषा की महीन बुनावट, छिंद शास्त्र और लयािकता की गहरी समझ के हलए सराहा जाता है। शब्ोिं के साथ सहजता से खेलने की उनकी क्षमता, उन्हें व्यिंग्य लेखन में एक हवहशष्ट स्थान हदलाती है। हाल ही में उन्होिंने एक लोकहप्रय स्टैंडअप कॉमेडी कायूक्रम में सिंहक्षप्त लेहकन प्रभावशाली उपत्यस्थहत देकर अपनी बहुआयामी प्रहतभा का पररचय भी हदया। लखनऊ की तहज़ीब को जीने वाले अहभषेक, अपनी लेखनी और व्यत्यित्व में अवध की सािंस्कृ हतक हवरासत को पदरे सौम्य वैभव के साथ सिंजोए हुए हैं। वषू 2020 में राजकमल प्रकाशन से प्रकाहशत उनका पहला कहवता सिंग्रह “हर्फू-ए-आवारा” पाठकोिं और आलोचकोिं दोनोिं के बीच खासी लोकहप्रयता हाहसल कर चुका है। अब इस सिंग्रह का उदद ू अनुवाद भारत और पाहकस्तान — दोनोिं ही देशोिं में प्रकाहशत होने जा रहा है, हजसके पश्चात व्यिंग्य पर आधाररत उनकी अगली कृ हत भी प्रकाशन हेतु तैयार है।
